Judges Launch Press Conferences Against Disinformation

A group of 1,500 judges and magistrates known as the Article 41 collective announced that starting Monday, October 21, they will carry out a series of press conferences to exercise their right of reply regarding the reform of the Judiciary. These conferences will take place from Monday to Friday and will be broadcast on the YouTube channel Independencia Judicial MX.

The judges aim to address topics related to judicial reform, judicial cases in general, and resistance actions related to this reform. The duration of these conferences will be half an hour, in contrast to the lengthy presentations by the current president and the former president, which could last up to three hours.

Martha Magaña, head of the Fifth District Court in Morelos, emphasized that 'the morning press conference has a limit, that of truth.' On the other hand, Carlos Soto Morales, magistrate of the Eighth Collegiate Circuit Court of the Central Auxiliary of the First Region, mentioned that the conference aims to counter the misinformation spread by the government, providing verifiable data.

The judges participating in these conferences seek to provide information that counters the data disseminated by the current administration. This initiative arises in response to the need to clarify information and debunk false or ambiguous data.
